Professional Hard Gel Enhancements

Overview:

Hard gel is an acrylic that is cured in either an LED or UV lamp. Unlike traditional liquid and powder acrylic systems, hard gel has little or no smell and does not cure until placed under the lamp.

Hard gel is a file off system and cannot be removed with acetone.

The average cost of hard gel enhancements would be between £45-£55 

Course Content:
  • Anatomy and physiology of the nail

  • Hygiene, health & safety

  • Regulatory and statutory requirements

  • Correct cuticle & prep work

  • Correct tip application

  • Application of hard builder gel, colour coats and topcoat

  • Infill & removal

  • Social media photography

Course requirements:

Students must hold one of the following to attend:

  • Accredited gel manicure certificate.

  • Accredited acrylic certificate.

  • Accredited tip-based enhancement certificate.

All materials are provided for you on the day of your training.

It is highly recommended that students provide a model for this course however, students can work on themselves if they prefer. Models would be required to attend from 9.30a.m. (N.B. Models CAN NOT be nail technicians unless pre-approved by the educator). All students & models must arrive with product-free, undamaged and unbitten nails. If nails are not suitable for the course, the course may have to be cancelled and rearranged at full cost to the learner. 

Options, Cost & Duration:

Option 1:

1 Day, 9.30a.m. to 3.30p.m. Suitable for students who already hold an accredited tip application certificate, or have already attended a Structured Gel Manicure course which includes builder gel (BIAB) application. Accredited certification will be issued upon the completion of 5 sets (min) of nails, meeting the required standards, within a period of 4 weeks post-training. This time may be extended at the discretion of the educator.

Option 2:

2 Days (non-consecutive) 9.30a.m. to 3.30p.m. (both days). This course is suitable for learners who only hold a basic gel polish certificate and have not worked with structured application and/or BIAB. 

Day 1 - Theory, demonstration & practical.

Day 2 - Assessment (model required), infill & removal.

Accredited certification will be issued upon the completion of 5 sets (min) of nails, meeting the required standards, within a period of 4 weeks post-training. This time may be extended at the discretion of the educator.
